Grandma's visit and my fun with legos

I think I showed you I got this nice rocking chair from Grandma and Grandpa Huneke at Christmas. Well I just love to climb up in it and either read a book like this or eat a cookie. It's nice to have a chair just the right size that's all my own.

Grandma Thomforde came to visit last weekend. We had a lot of fun. She baked cookies and let me lick the spoon, then she babysat me at night so mommy and daddy could go on a date. We even went to church together Sunday before she left. I am always smiley with Grandma around.

It's fun playing with lego blocks with daddy. He always makes it a suprise what we're building. I'm sure this is going to turn out fun!

It turns out that what I was helping daddy build was a lego jail for when I'm naughty. He tells me it's not statistically proven to keep me from being naughty in the future but I do stay out of trouble when I'm in here. Apparently daddy is learning the pros and cons of incarceration at work. Mommy says there's no way to keep someone as cute as me in this lego jail for long.
Daddy should have gotten help from my engineer uncles Matt and Andy so his lego jail wasn't so easily destroyed. I am such a tough boy!

What big boys can do.

This week I'm learning all the fun things big boys can do. Now that I am all grown up and going to daycare, I am learning a lot. Daddy showed me how to build a very tall tower with legos. Big boys are good at legos.
Did you know big boys like juice boxes? I think we've found the most fun way to drink juice yet. Another fun thing to do with your juice box it to take the straw out and try to get it back in. It's like a puzzle.

I used to prefer my soft flat shoes. They were easy to walk in. Now that I'm growing up I am getting very good at walking in my big boy shoes. Don't I look super cute in them too!

One of the best things I've learned this past week since starting daycare is how to throw a tantrum. Since mommy hasn't taken a picture of that yet I'll let you know the second best thing is that I prefer to sit at the table rather than the high chair. I feel very grown up eating like mommy and daddy. Plus I'm even closer to Mugsy so we can share much more easily.

Besides Mugsy, I like sharing with everyone. Mommy and Daddy love to try what I eat for supper. I know big boys share their food and snacks. I even offered my sucker to the lady sitting behind me in church this morning. She was nice enough to let me keep it.

The last big boy thing I did this week was drive two trucks at once! I know that driving two trucks takes talent. You can even see I managed to keep one hand on my cookie too. I can't wait to keep learning more!

Happy Birthday Aunt Lauren!

Last weekend Aunt Lauren and Uncle Justin came to visit. It was Aunt Lauren's 26th birthday that Saturday so mommy and I made her a cake! Mommy might deny it, but most of it was made by her, even the writing and both the Y's slid off the cake.
Since I was in bed by the time they had cake, Aunt Lauren and I celebrated the next day with a yummy breakfast. I love having company at our house!

My new hobbies

Well this isn't a hobby, but despite dressing me up in this silly outfit, Daddy and I were a little sad the Vikings didn't win. We were hoping to show off to our new Wisconsin neighbors.
Look what Daddy taught me, foosball! He wasn't too sure of my choice of handles to use but until I noticed there was a little ball rolling on the table, we tied Mommy's score. That just proved to Daddy that Mommy's not too good.
Mommy got me this fun new broom. Daddy said since Mommy's not doing a great job with chores around the house we need to pick up the slack. I wonder what Mommy stays busy doing all day? Could it be playing with a very energetic little boy? Daddy says that's no excuse.
I did what I could, but sweeping's hard work!
