Vacation to Bearskin Lodge

Last weekend I went on vacation to Bearskin Lodge way up in Northern Minnesota. So many people came along for the fun. I know I look a little sloppy in this picture but Uncle Matt and Britta didn't mind me relaxing after a nap.
Uncle Andy and Krystal were there too. They had fun fishing and canoeing. I didn't get to go along for those things but spent a lot of my time playing in the cabin.
Grandpa and Grandma went on some hikes with me. They were so nice and let me stop and touch all the different trees, leaves, and rocks. I really enjoyed all the nature.
Aunt Lauren and Uncle Justin helped plan our vacation and get us organized. We tried all weekend to see a bear but this is the closest we got.
Grandpa and Grandma Huneke were so nice to let us borrow their big van. I was very cozy in my big boy seat with my blanky and pillow. The most exciting part of the long drive was that we saw a moose on our way up. We were pretty glad it got out of the road quickly so we didn't hit it.
On our way up we stopped at Gooseberry Falls. Here mommy, daddy, and I are enjoying the pretty view.
The first day was pretty chilly. Luckily I have this nice new warm coat so I stayed comfy.
Our cabins were on East Lake Bearskin. Mommy said the trees were 100% pretty when we were up there. I had to agree, it was very pretty outside.
We took one long hike through the woods. I had this new backpack to ride in so mommy and daddy's arms wouldn't get tired.
By the end of the walk mommy moved me to the back. She said it was easier to walk and I didn't mind, it sure was cozy. We were a little disappointed to find out our very long hike was only about 4 miles. It sure felt like much more!
